Google Speech-to-Text API VERY High usage

Is anyone else seeing very high usage when using google's speech-to-text API for voicemail transcription?
Google's showing 3,344 requests and 40 hours of transcriptions on a system with 6 users over a 2 week period.

Happy to hear anyone's thoughts on this.

Testing @mcaponog suggestion. A lot of my clients use gmail and play the recording wav files from there when they email them to other users, instead of downloading, but gmail/chrome will not play. Anyone know if there is way to get them to play in gmail/chrome without downloading the file?
