GPX-2000 phones go to sleep

I'm a newby setting up the system. Configured 2 Grandstream GPX-2000 phones. They registered and I was able to place calls from each to the other.
Problem is that they appear to go to sleep after 3 - 5 minutes and I have to reboot the phones to get them to work again. This is consistent. Also, when this happens there is no indication on the phones' displays that there is anything amiss.

I would appreciate any advice.

GXP-2020 nearly the same but hereit take much more time (about a day) then i can not make outgoing calls. cannot find reregistering in the log.

i have a GXP2000 and i found the same issue... the way i found to work around things was to change the max re-registration time on phone config(to about 41 or 42 days). After that of corse i have to reboot the phone...

Thanks all for your help. I've discovered that when I turn off the (XP) firewall the phones function properly. I don't understand why the firewall effect would be delayed.

So, this leads to another question, does anyone know which ports I need to open in the firewall?

List of default ports used by the 3cx phonesystem:
5060 (stanard sip port) TCP/UDP
5061 (secondary sip port) TCP/UDP
5480 (portgre) (only on local machine)
5481 (apache) (only on local machine)
5482 (media server) (only on local machine)
3478 (STUN Server) TCP/UDP
7000-7500 (Default port for internall calls) (only on local machine)
9000 - 9003 (ports for external calls through VOIP Gateway) UDP
10000-20000 (RTP ports) (Used if no stun available for audio)
