Good Morning!

We are getting ready to replace an existing hosted system with 3cx. They have a paging system (bogan) and using a ATA to deliver the overhead page. We are testing with 3cx and a Grandstream 802. We can call the system, hear the beep, and can speak. However, as soon as we hang up we hear a series of busy tones (around 5 or 6). We have a case open with Grandstream but thought possibly someone has ran into this before.

3cx version: 16.06
Grandstream 802: 1.0.19.11

Thanks!

I'm going to assume that it is the reminder to hang up tone as the paging unit remains off-hook until a time-out. You may be able to change the tone settings in the ATA to something silent, or close to.

You might also see if the paging unit is sensitive to current reversal. Some ATAs will reverse current when the calling party disconnects, which the paging unit might see, and then disconnect. You'd have to see if those options are available.

Thanks! I'll see if I can hunt these down. I did see a "polarity reversal" setting, but that didn't do it.
