Grandstream GRP26XX Series

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone played with the Grandstream GRP21XX series with 3CX by any chance? I have a medium sized opportunity (120 sets, 48SC), but the customer is specifically requesting the GRP2614 and GRP2613 sets. I know they aren't supported yet, just wondering if anyone has had a chance to play with them yet.

Unfortunately, this is the kind of information you can't get from neither 3CX nor Grandstream. They never tell what is in the process of certification because people would ask for ETAs which they can't give since during the process, firmware modifications are sometimes necessary so it takes longer. I know they are in the process of validating a few phones from Grandstream, but I am unaware which ones.

You best bet is to configure the phones via the new GDMS and simply bypass 3CX provisioning. You can find the necessary parameters in the GXP21xx series template (don't reference P-codes but param name). 3CX should work very easily even with unsupported devices.

If you wish to avoid issues, use supported phones like Yealink T4 series or Grandstream GXP21xx and GXP17xx.

Are these phones actually in use by your customer or he wants to buy ?
If he needs to buy, explain him , this can be a wrong choice to use 3CX unsupported phones like Frederick said

No, the customer saw them on the Grandstream website after I proposed the GXP2170 and 2135. I agree, its not the correct choice. I do have a couple NFR GRP22XX phones coming for testing, but I really am not a fan of running phones that are not certified. However, installation is about 40 days off, so maybe we might see certification by then?

I wouldn't take a guess on when it might be. Go with supported GS phones and avoid issues or simply go with Yealink which has more supported models than Grandstream.
