Solved Grandstream GXW42xx settings changed from analog phones?

Any analog phone connected to a Grandstream GXW42xx switch can change its configuration settings using voice prompts.

Can this option be disabled?

That's a question for Grandstream.

It's as cobaltit said, you might have to check with Grandstream for this one, 3CX does not configure anything else beyond the 3CX default template. All configuration that can be done via 3CX regarding devices is that which is available via the 3CX Management Console.

It would appear to be an option in the template.

The question would be...can you do the same thing without modifying the template.

I disabled the option in the Grandstream's web interface. Just not sure whether the configuration is going to stick or whether 3CX will override and revert it to default (voice prompts enabled).

I can confirm that the 3CX template for the Grandstream GXW42XX does not initialize this parameter so whatever changes you make manually to the device should stick, or at least, won't get overwritten by 3CX.
