Grandstream HT702

Please assist with the procedure to configure the Grandstream HT702 for 3CX.

Is the device local to the server? Were you planning on a manual configuration, or hoping for a template to auto-configure? What have you done so far?

Yes, the Grandstream HT702 is on the same subnet as the server. Since server would have to be added as generic gateway, I was planning on manual configuration.

The 702 is an ATA (analogue telephone adapter), not a PSTN gateway. It allows analogue phones to be used with 3CX, it is not a trunk device.

In a nutshell...create the extensions in 3CX, make note of the password. In the 702, the "main" settings are the Primary SIP server (IP of the 3Cx server), SIP User ID (the extension number), Authentication ID (same as extension number, but may not be needed), and Authenticate password (the password from 3CX you made note of.)

SIP registration should be YES
Register expiration can be set to 29 (minutes)

There are other settings, that can be tweaked to make using the phones use a bit smoother, such as dialplans, but the settings provided should get you dialtone and the ability to place and receive calls.
Caller ID settings, ring cadence and tones, may have to be "localized" for your area.

Thank you. I was able to configure the Grandstream HT702, however there is one way audio, peer end cannot hear audio from device connected to Grandstream HT702.

If both the server and 702 are on the same network, then there should be nothing, but perhaps the 3CX server firewall, blocking the audio ports. By "peer end", do you mean another local extension, or an outside trunk call? If an outside call, do other extensions (3CX windows phone?), work correctly?

Is this a new 3CX installation? Was the 3CX firewall test run successfully?

Have you tried using the other port on the 702, in the event it is a device issue? Can the "peer" hear DTMF tones from the set (microphone/handset cord problem)?

Does the one way audio happen when both placing and receiving a call?

Have you tried enabling PBX Delivers Audio, in the 3CX extension settings as a test?
