The faxing service is not working with Grandstream HT802 V2 ATA Adapter. When sending or receiving faxes, nothing happens. Also, the documentation on your website is outdated and doesn't work. I would like to send faxes using a fax machine with the Grandstream HT802 V2 ATA Adapter and receive faxes to email, but can't get it working.

First step in troubleshooting a fax ATA issue... take a good old fashion phone and plug it into the ATA.
-Can you make an internal call? Receive one?
-Can you make an external call? Receive one?

Once you are sure the ATA is working for voice, you can start troubleshooting it for fax. Then we get into issue if your VOIP provider supports fax, what codes (T.38, G711, etc)

Yes, I can make and receive calls, and my SIP provider supports T.38, G711. The system doesn't let you point the number to the fax extension, only to users or something else. In V20, after you add the number (Trunk) to the system, you need to setup the Default route, or else the number is dead, and there is no option to set it to a fax extension. The guide on 3CX website is outdated and doesn't work, the guide is for V18 and not V20. Also, the software in the Grandstream HT802 V2 is different.

I'm not sure what issue you are having pointing it to a fax extension, but the secret is you don't need to use a fax extension. You 100% can just point it to a user and have the user extension programmed to the ATA. In fact, fax extensions are more limited then user extensions and I almost always just use user extensions for fax.
