Hello - I setup a Grandstream HT841 FXO for POTS sip trunks on a 3cx system. The Inbound works fine. I can call in and all lines work.

The outbound - nothing - it just rings and rings - yet everything looks correct.

Any suggestions?

I figured out for outbound - after putting the new firmware on the Ht841 I see the FXO1 port is actually 6060 by default - I updated that in my 3cx trunk and that allowed the outbound to work. I am only testing one line - I believe for more lines more work needs to be done. however now sure how 3cx can use the FXO2,FXO3,FXO4 since they are different ports..

i think this is how you do that: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/need-help-grandstream-ht841.127427/post-616459

The gateway is normally set-up so that one port is used, and the gateway itself determines (a gateway setting) which phone line the calls will route out on. The alternative is to assign each line a separate port, then create a trunk in 3CX for each of those ports. That method is usually employed when people want more control over which phone line an outgoing call will use.

If you have access, use the 3CX Activity Log, to see exactly what is sent and to which destination , the outgoing call is routing.
