Environment: Running Pro version 16.0.900 with Grandstream version 1.0.9.132. - Running in two different cities

UDP port 123 and NTP parameters checked (pool.ntp.org). Running the default Grandstream template.

All Grandstream GXP2170 phones are out by 1 hour and the weather is for a different city.

Any idea how I can change the locality for the weather and the set the time correctly.

Thanks

What timezone are you using?

The location is parsed by the IP address but it always say the wrong place. You need to use a custom template to change the city from Auto to your location.

Where do I need to change the city code? I take it will be in settings>Templates>Grandstream.ph.xml -

which line?

Copy the template, then search for "Weather" and you'll find the relevant settings.

Once I copy template - how do I make it the default template?

Do I need to re-provision the phone for it to pick up the new template?

Under the Extension -> Phone Provisioning, copy the MAC address, remove the phone then re-add selecting the custom template (bottom of the list). Then reprovision.

You can't make it the default. You have to reprovision phones. Once you use a custom template - and support from 3cx is a PITA.

My phones have picked up wrong location in the past - like when there is a network issue and they don't have an IP at bootup. I reboot the phone and they are fine. They should be picking this up correctly.
