Greeting exception by day of the week.

I have a client on Standard Edition and has your typical office hours greeting, after hours greeting and holidays defined. They have requested having the greetings be different on Fridays.

I'm not sure if I'm overlooking something simple here, but these are the options I see:

Make current greeting messages generic enough for all days of the week.
Create a holiday for every Friday since holidays are single day or range of days only.
Upgrade to PRO version and use CFD to create custom call flow app.


Any other thoughts?

Another way fro achieving the required functionality would be to use a dummy extension and route all calls through that.
That way you can take advantage of the automatic status switching of the extension to route calls differently.
The extension can switch to 3 different statuses based on office hours. In office hours - Available
Out of office hours - DND and break times - Away.
