Group Calls - ring after answer&clear a call

Hi,

A call comes from external into a ring group which contains 3 users.

User 1 answers the call.

Whilst that call is in progress a 2nd call comes in - users 2 & 3 ring.

User 1 clears their call.

I now want user 1's phone to ring as well as user 2 &3 - so that user 1 can answer the 2nd call.

That doesn't seem to be happening with normal/standard group setup - have we missed something please?

3CX ring groups will poll the members at the start of the call and will only call extensions that are available. If an extension is busy when polling takes place, it will not ring that extension even if it becomes available.

If you want this function, look at queues.

Hey @PaulBC,

As @Saqqara said, in a Ring Group only the available extensions will be polled for the call and they will not be polled again. Meaning that any Ring Group members that were not polled the first time due to them being busy will not ring for that call. You can indeed use a Call Queue instead which actually re-polls members after a set amount of seconds which you can specify in the Call Queue configuration.

If you wish to keep the Ring Group you could have users wishing to answer the call they missed use the pickup function to pickup the call.
