Solved Group Membership changing back to 'Default'

Hi,

We have been trying to change the group membership for a number of our extensions to be 'rooms' instead of 'default'. The group itself has been created, and the extensions have been added to the group. However, when we try to change the group membership in the extension and then confirm this, the membership returns to 'default' next time we look at the extension.

This only happens on some of the extensions and not others.

Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue before or if it is worth raising to 3CX

Hello @NoahD

If an extension is part of both groups then the first group on the list should be the Default. You can select the other group however from the drop down list in the extension settings. If you would like the extension being part of only one group the delete that extension from the Default group.

Thanks for that, assumed you could have extensions in multiple groups and just choose which one to apply at any given time, but that makes sense and seems to have worked as expected
