GSM call rings over 3CX call

Good day,

Hope somebody can help me. We have issues on various Android cellular telephones. When busy on a 3CX call and a GSM call comes in it rings over the 3CX call so that you cannot hear the other person on the 3CX call. Is there some setting where we can do something about this like call waiting or something.

On the other way around if I am on a GSM call and a 3CX call comes in it is following the normal forwarding rules as per the setting under users, which is great.

Hi there, the problem is that is happening on all mobile telephones. We tested this on various Android telephones as well as on Iphones with the same result. We recently upgraded to V18. But like I said it only happens when you are busy on your 3CX app extension and a GSM call comes in. Then it it cuts the audio on the 3CX app extension until the GSM call is done. it does not matter if you are connected via Wifi or on mobile data.

I do not know if this is only in South Africa?

Can you check your Android App Settings (Three horizontal bars top left) >> Settings >> Advanced >> Car/Bluetooth support (Telecom API), if it's checked can you uncheck it?

Currently I am running Version 16.7.8.121 on my Android telephone. I remember that setting but I do not see it anymore.

@Skippie, Within the 3CX App, it should be under Settings >> Advanced >> subsection Audio Options.

In that case, unfortunately your model (the Android variation that comes with it to be precise...) not does seem to have support for "Telecom API", which is the Android built-in mechanism that handle multiple calls from multiple apps, hence why this is happening.

Unfortunately there is not a lot you can do.
