Guidance on attaching the domain to copied 3cx installation

Hello all

Have 3cx installation have copied entire 3cx setup to separate location, wanted the domain to be pointing to the new location(new IP address) and use the resource as earlier.Kindly guide me on this.My 3cx domain is https://minervtechpbx.3cx.in/ and wanted it to point to new IP address/location(ec2-13-235-138-107.ap-south-1.compute.amazonaws.com )

Do you use a 3cx backup to restore your configuration to the new server ?

This is the only way you can migrate your system to a new server

If you have a backup,

1. Switch off your old server
2. run the 3cx installation and select ‘restore 3cx from backup’
3. Wait for the dns records to update

When I copied from one location it has all contents the extensions etc I updated the new IP address but the domain is pointing to the old server

Are you sure the FQDN mentioned above is correct? I cannot seem to get a reply when i try an nslookup. Please make sure you have not released your FQDN from your key. You can check if the FQDN is released through the customer portal.

Yes it's fine I do see ping reply of new server but the portal was slow toad
