I am having an issue that when a call comes in, the extension will answer the call and after about three seconds the extension will hang up the call. The caller just continues to hear ringing. After the person at the extension side attempts to answer, like I said before it will hang up after about three seconds but after that, Another call will come in directly after hanging up and it will say "anonymous"

Hi Mikey,

You have not described how these calls are coming in so I have covered eventualities based on my experience with issues such as this:

SIP Trunk: If coming in via a SIP trunk this could be related to SIP ALG being enabled still on your firewall. What does the firewall checker say about SIP ALG ? normal issues are around 30ish seconds but still worth checking.

Analogue: I have known this issue come up before using Analogue, if so what gateway are using and does it support parameters for call disconnect ?

enable the 'battery reversal' detection method. That could possibly work.

Sorry, I am using a patton sn4112.

I have tried the battery reversal option for both ports being used on the patton and it hasnt made a change. I also noticed that when I am one call, i cannont make any other calls. I get a server error. So at this point i am limited to one active call

Reversal option on a gateway will only be used on outgoing calls to detect answer supervision IF your provider supplies that option. Your issue may involve the CPC option, which is a short disconnect of the 48 volts, on the phone line, to signal that the PSTN end has disconnected.

I believe in the auto-configured 3CX template created for the Patton early disconnect/connect is enabled by default or at least it was last time I checked.

I am having an issue that when a call comes in, the extension will answer the call and after about three seconds the extension will hang up the call.

Please clarify this... So an outside call rings an extension, they answer, then hang up after 3 seconds? Why do they do this?

The caller just continues to hear ringing.

This is after the extension has just hung up on them for some reason.

After the person at the extension side attempts to answer, like I said before it will hang up after about three seconds

Wait...so the person, at the extension answered, but the call itself dropped after 3 seconds?

Another call will come in directly after hanging up and it will say "anonymous"
Has it been confirmed if this is a new call, or the same caller that somehow hot put on hold. Do people call back and say that their first call was lost? the anonymous caller ID may be the result of the call being passed on to 3CX before caller ID information could be collected.

What type of sets are you using? Analogue or Voip? What make?

The caller would just continue to hear ringing. I have came to a conclusion that one of the ports isn't working properly. If I try to make an outbound call I get a server internal error when using port in question, and with an inbound call, the call will come in, I will answer it, after 3 seconds the phone call is dropped. After the inbound call is dropped after being answered, the caller will continue to hear it ring and the PBX will ring again but saying "Anonymous". Once the anonymous call is answered the process repeats until the caller hangs up.

How is the Patton device configured? Are you using the 3CX template to provision the device? If not then i would recommend trying to configure the device using the 3CX template and trying again. If you still face the issue then you should consider the fact that there is an issue with the device.
