Overnight (GMT +8), Watchguard IPS patterns updated to one that will break a SIP ACK. We had our own system playing up and some clients because the ACKs were not getting through from the Internet in call setups.
Turns out that a new IPS pattern designed to thwart Asterisk ACK DOS attacks seems to thwart most bonafide phone calls. You need to ensure that the policies you have for your PBX are not protected by Watchguard IPS.
