Help needed to provision Hotdesking Extension to Fanvil X3S

Hi,

our 3CX is currently hosted in the Data Centre. the Fanvil X3S phone is in our office. We are not using any 3CX SBC.

Below are the steps i used to provision a Hotdesking Extension for my Fanvil X3S phone.

a. Add a HotDesking Extension in 3CX Management Console. The extension is HD00001
b. In 3CX Management Console, at "Phones", I do not see the Fanvil X3S in the list of phones.
Hence, i could not assign the hotdesking extension to it.

Can anyone advise if the steps above is correct ?

I did the following :

a. Setup a 3CX SBC on the local network. My Fanvil X3S phone is also on the same Local Network.
b. Under 3cx Management Console-> Phones, it is listed as a New Ext. Pls refer to the attached image.
c. Assign the HotDesking Extension to the new Ext.
d. Enable HotDesking Option in one of the extensions, 039
e. Dial *700*039* in my Fanvil X3S
f. Busy tone heard. There is no prompt to enter pin.
g. Checked the 3cx Management Console -> Phones, the "new Ext" is still listed in the Phone list.

I think the HotDesking extension is still not assigned to 039. Can advise how can i find out what was the issue ?

The default code for hot desking is *77*, not *700*.

it was typo error. i dialed *77*039* but getting busy tone.

i noticed that after i assigned extension, the new extension still showing in the Phone List. it should have been HD00001

the issue is resolved by entering the local ip address of the remote SBC in the hotdesking extension configuration
