Hi, we're having some issues with making an xml template for our Act! CRM API.
Our Act! CRM requires the following type of authentication:
METHOD: POST
URL: https://actdev01.actweb.nl/Act.Web.API/authorize
HEADERS:
Authorization: Basic XXXXXXXXX
Act-Database-Name: XXXXXXXXX
Then we get a token back (in plain text, no json response. The response IS the token).
With all following requests, we need to pass this token in the HEAER of each request :
Authorization: Bearer XXXXXXXXX
For instance if I'd like to retrieve a contact with phone number X, I'd do the following URL:
https://actdev01.actweb.nl/Act.Web.API/api/contacts?$filter=businessPhone eq '[Number]'&$select=businessPhone,fullName
The response would be something like:
[
{
"fullName": "Betty Browser",
"businessPhone": "(212) 555-2485"
}
]
How do we configure this in the CRM Integration Editor?
I think I get the part of Scenarios, but now we are stuck on the authentication so we cannot even test our scenarios.
I see there are three types of authentication: None, Basic and Scenario. Since our CRM system has Bearer authentication, I selected Scenario and I created a AuthScenario and selected that under Authentication.
In my AuthScenario, I can put a list of FormValues, but we need a list of HeaderValues instead. But there’s no field for that.
And the response type can only be Json or XML, but our CRM returns a plain text token.
Also, regularly I get a crash of the editor (nullreference exception at CrmIntegrationTool.ViewModel.Debug.ParameterValuesView.RefreshValues())
Is it even possible to integrate this CRM with this editor?
