To all:
I'm green at this. Our company is in between outside IT companies and I am the in-house IT. 3CX Forums is the only assist here.
So, we have a location were the VOIP was in play but the POE switch needed to be moved to another part of the building.
I did that today. The POE is up and running and the line to the VOIP then to the various computer systems are all working as the computers have internet access.
My problem is none of the phone are coming back online. I have looked at the How to re-provision instructions but that is not helping at the moment.
The various users and their extensions are listed in the Users page - with a RED dot but they are not listed or showing on the Phones page.
The "Add Ext" and "Assign Ext" tabs are not available.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
BGunn

I'd start at the basics. Does an IP phone plugged in have an IP address? Can a device on that same network reach the 3CX server?

It's likely that your phones are on a special VLAN and wherever you plugged that switch into is only carrying the data VLAN and not voice. But this is a blind guess because we have no detailed information.

Hi,

Start from the basics like @SweetAction action said, learn if they have an IP in the correct range, what the 3CX server IP is, whether they can reach that IP (probably not I would guess).

It sounds like your issue is purely network related, especially since switches got moved around. Also we have absolutely no idea what you mean by "the VOIP", I think you should start by learning what the network hierarchy at your site is, and perhaps try to re-establish it.

My wild guess is that the PoE switch was plugged into a "programmed" uplink port that allowed it to reach the 3CX system, and after the move it got plugged into a port that doesn't allow it to reach 3CX. Hopefully you can track down the old port, read its setup, and replicate it on the new port where your plugged in the PoE switch.
