I am experiencing problems with audio when I call from an extension to an outside number. I cannot hear and they cannot hear me.

this is the server report:

The Extension 108 is located in South America.
The Extension 100 is located in Canada.

Any ideas on why?

Also, if you want to try it out then you can log into the server as extension

User name: 120
Password: guest
Proxy: 70.68.203.206

if you dial 9 or 99 you access calgary phone
if you dial 8 you will access the gizmo project network.

Thanks

for whoever that just logged into my server

this is what happend when i called you to ext 120

It looks that Ext.100 is in the same network with 3CX PBX, but Ext. 108 - is not. So, you should mark it as external in advanced options for extension. Also, it may help to bind external extension to media server.
Note, that we don't support more than one network for PBX. It means, that PC running 3CX PBX should not have direct access to more than one network.

I made the changes you told me. this is what i got:
13:09:28.000 StratLink::onHangUp Call(C:79): Ext.108 hung up call; reason: BYE

13:07:10.718 CallConf::onIncoming Call(C:78): Incoming call from Ext.100 to sip:[email protected]

Also I made 120, which is the extension you are using, as an external as well

Ok, you are going to have to help me here.

Note, that we don't support more than one network for PBX. It means, that PC running 3CX PBX should not have direct access to more than one network.

EXT 108 is accessing my network from South America. just like you did this morning. I am sure I have missed your point, but I am new with this whole thing. Could you please explain.

I want to be able to access my canadian numbers while I am in other coutry and still be able to talk to people that are connected to the 3CX PBX.

Thanks for your help and understanding.

Your extension registers, but when it comes to rtp traffic (which is the sound) it cannot reach its destination.

From the log (what i can tell) you are using non routable adress that appears to be on the inside of your router. (as it should).

The RTP traffic is lost in NAT so you have to configure a VPN to make this work.

thanks I am looking into this.

this support is awsome!!

if you have opened and redirected all the ports corectlly there is also the rtp port that the local sip phone uses you may have to open that on the network that was the sip phone on it. the rtp port for the sip phone is different than the rtp port for 3cx
