Hi all

I have a 3CX in the cloud with SBC to site.

At this moment the 3CX is up to date and everything is "supported".

I have had 2 extensions to mobile numbers go to one-way audio mid-call.

in the recording, the only voices that can be heard is the external callees.

AFAIK there were no drops in SBC or internet so I just wanted to have a nosey at the bin log viewer (PBX is in verbose mode).

I've done a search by callerID - will this show me everything related to this call such as the extension pressing mute etc or do I need to widen my field?

Also, in verbose mode does this do any traces?

The Binlog alone will not show everything and I would actually not recommend you use it to troubleshoot audio issues. The best way to do this would be to go through a packet capture with a tool such as wireshark which will also allow you to analyze the RTP streams. This way you'll at least be able to narrow down where the problem may be depending on what you see.

Since you have the recordings you can already tell that audio is probably not reaching the PBX so you would have to check what's happening between PBX and IP Phones. If these IP Phones are both behind the same SBC it may be something between the IP Phones and that SBC but to confirm this you might actually need to run packet captures on the SBC while the call is running.

How often does this occur, is it frequent enough so that you could actually collect enough data to investigate?

Hi Chris.

It doesnt happen often enough for me to start running captures, its the first time they've mentioned it so i'll put it down to a loss of connectivity and move on.

thanks for the reply.
