Help with spa3000 and pstn setup

Hi Guys, I'm just getting started with 3cx and so far very impressed.

I have got 3 extensions working no problem, one with a patton m-ata, one from my spa3000 ata and one soft phone Ekiga which is a Linux based soft phone.

The server is a windows xp 2.4Mhz p4 with 1gb ram

I am now trying to get the PSTN line of my spa-3000 working with no joy, I have followed the setup guide and searched the forums, followed user 'oneobservers' advice and used the settings from the screen shots not just the instructions, have changed the pstn port to be 5061 and kept line 1 set to 5060 but still get these errors

The error indicates that the ID is wrong but I have checked everything is 10400 I have attached screen shots spa1-6.png are the spa3000 pstn settings and spa7.png is the setup of the 3cx pstn line, any help would be much appreciated, I am sure I am missing something simple.

Hi guys,

I have solved this problem, in the screen shot spa2.png the user id is set to spa3000, as per the setup guide, changed this to 10400 and its now registering.

Time for an incoming pstn call to propagate through the 3cx server is about 15-20 seconds, is this normal?

I cannot as yet make an outgoing call from an extension, so any tips gratefully received.

Also appears when I receive an incoming call it kills the ADSL line, maybe a coincidence but if anyone has seen this before, would like to hear from you, I will investigate more and try a different filter on the line.

Try to find if spa has a dial tone waiting before it dials the number and disabled

gpetrom thanks for the tip, got it working, just not sure how, in the SIP setup I had the port set at 5061 then I set the EXT SIP port to 5061 also and things started to work, but I have since deleted EXT SIP setting and it still works, perhaps the unit just needed time to settle down and re register?

The propagation time for a land line call to extension and visa versa to traverse the 3cx system is timed at about 10 seconds now, no big deal, from memory this is about the same for a Cisco ISR 2800 series and lets check the price difference :lol: I'm a Linux person, but this system has an edge for the small business.

The ADSL line going down seems to be a coincidence but will keep monitoring it, I am based in Yemen and we don't have the best infrastructure, but hey we do have ADSL!!
