Hidden Extensions Still Show in WebClient

If in 3CX Admin you hide an extension from the company phonebook it still shows in the web client.

Have you separated it from a group?

Are you referring to an extension or an external contact?

This is most likely a grouping issue with the setting "Publish group information to all extensions" under the "Group Rights".

I am talking about internal extensions.

Yes it is in the default group, the extension is set to be hidden but still shows.

Publish group information to all extensions is not ticked.

If you do not want this extension to show to the other extensions in the "Default" Group follow these steps;

Create a new group, add the extension you would like to "hide" .
Go back to the Default Group and remove said extension.

Ensure "Publish Group Information to All Extensions" is not ticked on either of the groups.

If you do not want anyone to see each others extension you can click on the group - "Group Rights":
Then select "Can see group members" and "Show presence to group members" accordingly.

But the extension is set to "Do not show in company address book" therefore it should be hidden in the web client and app as well.

It doesn't work that way Even if hidden in the company address book AND unselecting show presence to group members, if you start typing in the search bar, hidden extensions are still shown
