We are a service company so we provide after hours support for our customers but the office is closed. I want to use Global Holidays so I can set them for the year and be done. But on those holidays I need to play a message and give customer option to reach our after hours answering service who will then dispatch a technician.

From what I see, if using Global Holidays. it just says were closed for the holiday and the call ends.

How can I handle this? I looked at CFD but you can't specify dates like holidays there.

Hi @mrmmd4988,

When you set your Global Holidays, they're routed through the HOL digital receptionist, so you can choose where you'd like to route the call to.

Please note that if you have defined a prompt in Settings/Holidays then the HOL prompt will not play. The prompt from the HOL ivr will only play when no prompt is assigned in Settings / Holidays

hi,
hol is only easy way I know. Sad thing is you cannot choose wich ivr will be played, only hol by letting field with no sound. Wich can be a problem if you want differents set up for differents holidays. In theses cases, its time to learn how to use Call Flow Designer wich allows you to create filter by day range.
Then bypass holdays schedule on the incoming rule you want to let open during holidays and route it to the cfd.

You know you can set a different prompt for each holiday, right? It's set in the Holidays config.

Otherwise, it will play the prompt configured in the HOL IVR.

The question was not for prompts but routing to an ivr which give caller choices. yes you can put differents prompt but not differents ivr, only hol. Then best option if you want idfferents ivr based on date range is to use cfd.

Yeah, use the CFD and direct the HOL IVR to it.

Yes, this would be the solution

Yes you can do it, or simply don't use holidays and set incoming rule to cfd in which you set up date range for holidays. More clean in my opinion ;)
