We are currently trying to determine pricing for different hosting options for 3CX. Our only experience comes from on-premise setup and hosting but for a new client we are thinking about possibly using Amazon for reliability. Just a few questions:

- What is the difference between using a regular Standard License and PBX Express for cloud?
- Does anyone have ball park prices for what a small (4-8 SC) 3CX server costs to host at Amazon?

Our other options for this client include us hosting it or them hosting it in their office on their Hyper-V server. Ideally we go with cloud option.

Thanks

We use Google Compute, and a small instance runs about $15 per month. 1 vCPU and 1.7GB RAM - if you run much over 4 calls or do recording you will need to bump the CPU and hit $25 to $45. (Recording is the killer.)

If you use Express you will need to find a SIP provider that does one registration for both inbound and outbound. A couple of our providers use separate trunks for in and out, and Express only allows one trunk.
