Hot Desking - Yealink T53

I'm having some issue with HotDesking where i am unable to user to login.
On the handset i dial *77*extension number* and i get the error "invalid account!" on the handset.

The user that i'm trying to login as, i have enable hotdesking within the user options.

Has anyone came across this issues or can guide me on what i'm doing incorrectly?

How is your HD phone set up? Is it using LAN/VPN or SBC? STUN is not supported so you'll get that when trying to log in.

I believe your HD phone should still show as online without being logged in it

When provisioning the handset, it is pulling down the 3cx confirmation. which i can see when i web interface to the handset.

so it should be online, the event i see "Provisioning file for MAC ******** of user HD00001 requested by **** was successfully generated"

Yes, it will pull its config but HD extensions will be STUN disabled. You should see SIP request (REGISTER) from xxx was rejected in the event log if you're setting up the phone via STUN.

How have you provisioned the phone?

the phone auto provisioned when we added the mac address on 3cx.

It might have auto provisioned but when you added it, did you select an SBC to use or use "LAN/VPN" ? Assuming your PBX isnt on the same network as your deskphone.

its is LAN/VPN is what we selected. i can try via SBC and see if that make any different.

No it's not, our pbx is hosted.

Ok so this is trying to use STUN which is not possible for HD phones.

which handset are supported for hot desking? im using a Yealink T53.

whatever is in the dropdown when you go to set up a HD phone.

you need to be on a LAN or SBC for hot desking phones.
