I have been having hotdesking issues for about a month on two different 3CX systems that were purchased to do operator service for 2 large resorts. Both sites have a linux 3CX set up with V20 Rel 4 and are using fanville X7C-V2 phones.
The problem: hot desk users log on to a hotdesk phone and it says successful. looking at the 3CX console phones/hotdesking. Ext field shows Green still H00001, fanville phone shows green, and it has username logged in to the 3CX. The ext feild is supposed to go grey when the user logs in because the HD phone logged out. This user was able to log in and out on initial set up.
Solution: if you put an "&" sign in the name for a custom speed dial the user ext will not log in to the fanville phone. Not sure if this is a fanville issue or a 3CX issue but this issue made my 3CX unusable basically killing 2 months of the license i purchased. There was no way to cut the system over if the agents couldn't log in to the phones to answer calls.
