Hotdesking - easier login possible?

Hi,

is there a easier way to login a user to a hotdesking phone? The way with dialing *77*[EXT]*[PIN]# is imho not comfortable enough.
I am using different Grandstream IP-Phones (GXP-2130, 2135, 2140, 2160, 2170) and Snom D305.
I added BLF at the hotdesking users with speed dial *77*[EXT]* to switch to another user but when logged out there is no user - and therefore no BLF configured. Configuring BLF at the phones administration web-interface is possible - but gets overwritten with every provisioning.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your response, then I'll just have to live with it.

But wouldn't it be a great feature if hotdesking users coud get logged in/out automatically according to their offce hours? Like user A works on Tuesdays and user B on Fridays and they get logged in/out at their configured office hours?

That doesnt male any sence... hotdesking ist for switching workplaces and not every time the same phone.

Hi bitn2, i think in special cases this can definitely make sense. Imagine 2 or more users share the same desk but have different working days.
