Hello,

I tried to provisioning a yealink T46S desk phone to a Hotdesking Telephone.
The phone gets correct provisioned with e.g. the settings and the phonebook but a login with an exstension isn't. The pone says no circuit or channel avaible.
I checked the correct firmware, time, provision link, password.

The phone on an different 3CX in an different network is working. Which settings can i check?

Thanks in advanced.

Philipp

Is the extension you're trying to login enabled for hotdesking in its options?

and it's an professional license

What is that image? Because available isnt spelt right. Did you type that?

Where does the phone say that exactly?

How do you know it is correctly provisioned?

the phone says no circuit or channel avaible.
Firmware-Version 66.84.0.95
Hardware-Version 66.0.0.128.0.0.0
I think it is getting correct provisioned because the settings are correct in the phone. It gets the settings from 3CX just register an exstension at the phone doesnt work. It says no circuit or channel avaible.

Is this your first hot desking installation or do you have other hot desking phones that work correctly?

I would recommend to watch our training module here, to ensure that you are following the procedure we recommend which is guaranteed to work as tested by us:

Hi @phs

Ignore the phone. Can you open your webclient and make a call?

The "no channels available" message sounds like it's coming from anything else other than the PBX or the Yealink. I think you may be focussing on the Hot Desking feature instead of the source of that message. Can you elaborate further please?

Hello JohnS,

yes I can open the webclient and make a call.

The error message is shown in the display when I try to register a extension. The phone i provisioned with the hotdesking function.

The same phone works in an other enviroment without any problems. Maybe a network problem?

Hi phs

Thanks. When you say register an extension, please describe exactly how you do it. Step by step please.

I go to the telephone and enter *77*extensionnumber* then i get the message no circuit or channel available in the phone display.

In the problematic network environment, if you reset the phone and provision it automatically as a normal extension, does it provision?

Hot Desking provisions your phone when you log in, so if the above doesn't work it will also affect the ability to log in to a phone using the hot desking code.

If you are over SBC by the way, you must make sure you select the correct provisioning method that includes the FQDN. The FQDN must be reachable from the LAN that the phone is connected to.
If these settings point to the PBX private LAN it will fail. Also note it may take up to 30-40 seconds before you see the device provisioning

Sounds like an error in provisioning of the physical phone, because if you can make calls via the Web Client, then the issue isnt at the PBX. Just out of curiosity, have you tried to provision the phone normally (without hotdesking)?

Hello,

last friday I changed the switch where the telephone is connected to.

Now everything works fine. The old switch were 10 years old.

Thanks for your help.

Oh no! 10 years!? I'm glad you was able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue! Good job! Thank you for sharing your resolution as well!

Glad to hear it was resolved
