Hi there,

We faced same issue since we went on to v16 Update 4 (latest stable).

This morning 3CXPhoneSystemMC01 failed.

Looking through the logs this is the only relevant logs so far:

Apr 3 10:20:47 3cx kernel: [16270545.612584] 3CXManagementCo[20203]: segfault at 0 ip 00007f3b18bff599 sp 00007f3a688db9e0 error 4 in libVCEWebRTCHandler.so[7f3b18bc5000+4f000]

@saintanger99, its caused due to a race condition when a call is initiated via WebClient or Browser Extension and when Early Media is engaged, call is dropped at the same time.

This has been fixed in Update 5 Beta, so we recommend you to update.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply. We went for Update 4 yesterday as it was the latest stable. We'll update tonight or when the issue reappears to avoid downtime.

Any known issues upgrading to Update 5 Beta that we need to be aware? Don't really want to get in a worse position.

Thanks

Look from the feedback we've got we have good promising feedback I must say. Of Course due to this epidemic I cannot guarantee 100% that everything works smoothly but what I can say for sure that the build you have is getting closer to be released on Final. What I can say you have 2 options here;

Option 1: You wait another week or 1 week and half for Final.
Option 2: You spawn a replica of your machine you update to Update 5 leaving production as is you verify that everything went well and then you can move forward to updating production.

Look, I cannot provide you patches as due that Update 5 has improvements in libraries, update to latest .net core and many other things.

Also if you are using IOS and you are running a Windows host? Ensure that the Operating System is Window 10, 2016 or 2019.

Hi Michael,

We're actually running debian 9 via ovh cloud as 3cx host, these logs were syslog.

Hope the above means we're good to upgrade our debian 3cx host to Update 5.

Cheers

OK then..

Hi Michael,
I have a question that I couldn't solve reading the article.
I can conclude that if I'm not running updates 4 or 5 my system won't be affected? Or every version will be affected and only updates 4 and 5 will receive the hotfix?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
