How can I configure 3CX to retain original caller ID when forwarding calls? (DID Logic SIP trunk)

I've set "From: User Part" to "OriginatorCallerID" on my trunk's outbound parameters.

This seems to do the trick and I have tested various scenarios.

Just not sure if this is the "correct" way to do this with DID Logic/3CX.
 
If it works, you're all good. There is no correct way per se, as far as 3CX is concerned. It's your provider that determines if you have that ability, and if so, how the calls need to be formatted for that to work. Then you tweak those settings to make that happen. Make note of the original settings in case you run into an issue.
 
I have found one situation where it doesn't seem to work quite right.

If an extension (A) has the "Ring my mobile simultaneously" option selected, and receives a call from another internal extension (B), the caller ID received on the mobile phone is the internal extension number of B instead of B's outbound caller id.
