I have found the option that allows multiple calls to an extension which is working great, the user gets notified that another call is coming in and they can go to the second call, say hello and then put them on hold. With our current Mitel system we have call line which shows when calls are coming in across multiple lines (to the same number) and this allows someone to pickup a call that is on a different line.

How can I enable similar functionality in 3cx? We have Yealink T46S phones with a BLF set that will pickup a call coming into a line but we want to be able to pickup the call that is waiting/on hold. Is this possible?

By default on T46S you don't have two Line buttons pre affected ?

I am not sure what you mean by this. I know these phones can have multiple lines I am just not sure how to use that feature.
I will look into this, I think the shared parking orbit is what they are after (they just want to ability to help with a large influx on incoming calls during peak time so want multiple people to be able to access that incoming queue until it is gone).

Queues may be the way to go - or Ring Groups.

Call Parking will help this task.

With VoIP, a Line button on a phone is not attached to a phone line per-se. So, in an analog system, if you have 8 phone lines, you can see each line ringing on a phone. That is an analog type behavior. With VoIP, you could have a trunk with unlimited call paths - and they are all coming in on the same "line"...
