How to Assign a different extension to Yealink T23G

I have Yealink T23G phone that is assigned to extension 25. I gave the person at Ext 25 a new T29G phone. Now I want to assign the T23 to the extension for our conference room. I can't seem to be able to do this. Can someone point me in the direction I need to go in?

First you need to delete the device from the user extension, then factory reset the T23G, then configure it on the extension of your Conference room.

If using SBC or PnP, the phone will appear in the Phones page as unassigned after it reboots.

I wish there was a way to simply reassign the phone without having to reset it but it's not that much of a big deal.

True... I deleted the phone from the user. But now, how do I factory reset it. I tried to access through web browser based on IP address. It asks for user and password. admin/admin is not working.

Nevermind... I found it in the web portal settings for the user.

Yes the trick is to login to the phone before removing it from the extension, so you get the password, then you reset it.

Be aware, when assigned to a new user, a new phone password will be generated for it.
