How to change the Licence.

3CX has now removed the ability to change the licence code via the 3CX admin panel or during reinstallation. This limitation is unfair, as there are serious requirements or situations where we need to change the licence. For example, if we have a 64C licence and are not using it due to a company closure, and we want to use it for an 8C tenant by replacing its licence, there is no way to do so other than redoing the whole system. There is no way to use the same backup even when reinstalling. Does anyone know a workaround for this?

The purpose of the backup is to keep existing installation information so even if changing the license the same information will be there. Changing the FQDN requires to be released first and then reinstall to create a new one. I would suggest though to contact our Customer Care Team to clarify further about licensing.
