In my daily backups of my 3CX v7 installation I notice a big amount of mp3 files in the ZIP package generated by the 3CX backup tool. They are located in the folder httpprompts in the ZIP archive. I can't find these files on the filesystem of the 3CX server. Nor can I find a way in 3CX to delete these. Is there a way to clean up these old no longer used voice prompts from the 3CX system so they won't have to be backed up every day over and over again?

Thanks!

If you are using the 3CX Backup Tool, you will see there is an Option that allows you to Select / Unselect Backing Up Prompts.
If you are using an Automatic Command Line Backup Tool to trigger the 3CX Backup tool be sure to Remove the /Voiceprompts switch.

Or if you really just wanna delete the prompts from your system you can do so by going at:

Vista
C:\ProgramData\3CX\Data\Ivr\Prompts\Sets

Xp and Others
C:\Documents and Settings\USERXXXXX\Application Data\Local Settings\3CX\Data\IVR\Prompts\Sets

Re: How to clean up old voice prompts?

Thank you for your reply. Never thought of looking in the user profiles for the prompts. Found them. On my Windows 2003 setup they were located in:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\3CX\Data\Ivr\Prompts

Deleted them from this folder, made a new backup and gone they are. Removing them from my backup script wasn´t an ideal option since I do want to back up the voice prompts that are being used, so removing them was what I was looking for.

Thanks again!
