Hi Folks

I desperately need to delete two of the phones my system (version 11) is using so I can treat them as new phones and re-allocate them to existing extensions. Can anyone tell me how to make the 3cx system "forget" the mac addresses of the two phones in question so I can do this?

Cheers
Chris

if your phones are provisioned you can delete their files, path is this:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\3CX\Data\Http\interface\provisioning

or

C:\ProgramData\3CX\Data\Http\interface\provisioning

Hi there

Is it the .cfg files for each mac address I need to delete or, if not, which files exactly am I looking for?

Cheers

Delete the files which contains the mac address of the phone in file name (cfg)

Thanks very much! OK - have done that - will now try and reprovision.

The most important question is, are you using option 66?

If yes, turn it off, do a factory reset of the phones and make sure that you delete the MAC addresses from within the extensions previously used. Depending on the phones, they likely have 3CX plug n play and they will appear in bold in the phones section of 3CX From here simply assign them. This option will NOT work is option 66 is active, if so you will need to go and manually delete the provisioning files.

Sigma1 - thanks very much for your post. Sorted!
