Hi,

We are using 3CX version 18 update 6

We have a requirement to disable the webclient for the users. In other words, users are not able to access to the web client URL.
However, users can still use the 3CX mobile app and IP Phone.

Can anyone advise how this can be done ?

Regards,

You cannot disable the Webclient as far as I know.

There is a box you can check off per extension that will block access to it, but that box will also, if I remember correctly, break the mobile apps. So I don't think you can block webclient while keeping mobile access.

You could get fancy with nginx rules and start inspecting user agents and blocking non-3cx UAs or similar if you truly want to accomplish this, but it's unsupported.

That box is the "Block tunnel connections" and that doesn't block the Webclient, only the apps and SBC phones.

The Webclient/DesktopApp uses WebRTC directly.

Hi All,

the webclient can be blocked by uncheck this under Each Extension-> General Tab

Once uncheck, user cannot login to the webclient

Hi!

there should be a separate way to choose if the 3CX Windows Desktop App or the 3CX mobile App should be blocking.
We have here user that should use the 3CX Windows Desktop App but not the 3CX mobile App!
Blocking the 3CX Tunnel is not usefull because then the SBC will also blocked

Bit of a long shot but did you ever figure this out ? I have the same request for a client.

@ethan105 There is no option to select which 3CX App can be used or not.

For the record, disabling the option "Enable Web Client/Desktop" does not block the mobile from functioning. This option is only for Webclient/Desktop as it says.
