Hey,

I am struggeling with the 3cx softphone quality.
Windows computer
Linux v18 vm based 3cx ( based in a data center )
Jabra engage 75
Connection 500 download 500 upload ( local conection on the pc )

interrupt moderation : Dissabled
interrupt moderation rate : OFF

With T42S no issues in same network ( using SBC on Synoligy with docker )

Codec's :
G729
G722
PCMA
PCMU
OPUS

Any ideas or inprovements?

Hi @thomas.dejong,

If you log in to a web client and dial *777, is there a drop in quality?

What SIP Trunk provider are you using?

With T42S no issues in same network
Is the quality bad for specific calls (internal - extension to extension or external - receiving a call or making a call outside of the PBX)?

Jabra engage 75
Is the quality only bad using the Jabra Engage 75 headsets?

Thank you for replaying!

*777 = No the quality seems good

sip provider is machcloud

all calls internal and external.

Its not jabra but all the softphone calls.

If we call from
yealink <--> yealink ( no issues )
Yealink <--> webclient ( there is a issue )
yealink --> 777 no issue
jabra --> 777 no issue

Can you change the codec order to PCMA / PCMU to the top of the list and try again from Yealink to Webclient?

i try'd it and did not work, wh66 is returned to the supplier and now running a jabra.. all working fine..

Hi @thomas.dejong, glad to hear its working for you. Pity you had to return it.

After a few weeks of testing still have the same issue.

*777 is also kinda bad compair to local recording.

headset Jabra engage 75 stereo

Are there network settings i can check? ( sip alg is off )
And i did all the normal 3cx port forwarding.

Hi!

Last month you said that you swapped the Yealink headset of a Jabra one and the issue went away.
You were reporting bad audio quality with the WH66 but it was OK with the Evolve 75.

Did this change?

If the issue is only with *777 I think you can ignore it.

no the audio of the wh66 was a lot worst.. but with the jabra some times customers cant even hear me propper and i have to call back using the 3cx iphone app.

Its when i call but i tested it with*777 and then the audio is also bad.

I am starting to think that the issue you are describing has nothing to do with the WH66 nor with the Jabra headsets, both are very respectable so I believe that there is something on your system specifically that is causing a problem.

By the time the Android/IOS app is OK, I doubt it is the 3CX Server, but I would highly suggest you contact our Support Team to look into this further through a more focused investigation.
