hi all,
i just installed 3cx 18 Update 9 (Build 20) with the debian iso on a vmware esx 7.0 Update 3
All works well but i noticed that vmware tools was not installed and reading this guide https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/installing-debian-linux-pbx/ it says that vmware tools are needed

What is the correct procedure to install vmware tools on 3cx debian?

Thanks

DiegoF

SSH into the PBX as root,
Code:
apt-get update
then
Code:
apt-get install open-vm-tools

I have the same problem but, when I try to install open-vm-tools from apt-get, I get this error:

E:Package 'open-vm-tools' has no installation candidate root@voip:~/vmware-tools-distrib# apt-get install open-vm-tools

I believe this error is because apt is using only 3cx repos and they don't have open-vm-tools package.

I could install it adding more repos to the source.list file but I'm afraid of breaking something with 3cx.
Is there any safe solution?

Thanks,
José Rocha

Hi,

It will be included in the next repository update. We can't currently provide an exact date though.

Its now included.
