Hi there,

I have a complex issue to solve. On a 3CX PBX V18 I have several SIP Trunks and I use prefixes in order to select a specific line to make a call from an extension. This becomes a big problem because the phone numbers (e.g. SIP Trunks) are becoming more and more and we are very close to 10.

  1. Firstly, I don't want to have two-digit prefix in order to solve the problem when the lines are more than 10.
  2. Secondly, I would like specific extensions to be able to make calls from a specific line, without using a prefix.
  3. Then I would like to block some extensions to use other lines with a prefix.
Is that possible? If yes, how could I configure it?

Thanks a lot in advance for all your help!

Please note that in this case, you may separate extensions and add them to Groups. For example extensions 100-199 to Group1, extension 200-299 to Group2 and so on.
Then in the outbound rules for a specific sip trunk create an outbound rule only for this group of extensions.

Hi @TheodorosG_3CX,

Could you please let me know if such a configuration would be good?
