Hello,

I'm trying to make outbound call to PSTN with the HT-488's FXO port ...

Until this moment I get to access PSTN line but I must to redial de phone number if i want to make the call...
Any ideas?? I've tried with several outbound rules (0 -> R*00 ... etc) without succes...

Someone has testing the "Router Call to PSTN" HT-488 parameter ???

Thanks in advance...

Huw???

What does that mean?

Can you elaborat on that, you have to dial the whole number or only your "dial out digit"?

If it is the dial out digit, could it be that the DTMF is going to fast? If so add a comma after the dial out digit "0,yournumber" not sure if that works but used to work on the old PBX systems.

Hello, I have a manual that describes how to get this device to work, for incoming calls and those calls be forwarded based on settings for that line in the 3cx management console. However making this device to function also for external calls was tricky. It seems to me that it works with the analog phone that you configure on the FXS port. By pressing *00, then then you get a dialtone. Then you can dial out.

OR

If you make an 2digit prefix (eg 99) outbound rule with transform mask rr*00 for example, you can dial 99 from any extension in the network , get a dialtone, and then you can dial the rest of the number. It seems that one can't disable 2 stage dialing on the handytone.

Also I have found that the device doesn't send a BYE or CANCEL when one is calling from PSTN side towards PBX. i.e. When you are calling from PSTN and have the line forwarded to extension inside line config in the PBX, then if you close phone from PSTN side, extension that line was forwarded to, continues to ring, because HT-488 never provided PBX with a CANCEL or BYE.

hello again,
and sorry with my poor english...

My intention is to get all calls to external numbers like 6xxxxxxx will be routed via the HT-488's fxo port

I created a PSTL line and added a outbound rule like

prefix 06
transform mask r*00

I think that rule try to call *006xxxxxx in the HT-488

The problem is that the HT-488 doesn't make the call only I get a dialtone and I must to type 6xxxxxxx to make the call...

I tested with several outbound rules.. with the same results...

What are wrong?....
Or the HT-488 can't works as a FXO gateway???

Thanks again.

you see, the *006 will not work. you must first dial 9 with r*00 trasform mask, this will get to the dialtone, and then when you get the dialtone to dial the full number including the 6. You see, HT 488 uses 2 stage dialing, and from my understanding there is no way to configure it for 1 stage dialing. At least i haven't managed to do this myself, and as much as I tried finding something relevant to ht 488 and 1 stage dialing on the net, i couldn't find anything to makes it work 1 stage dialing.

So you will have to dial as I already mentioned, the outbound rule number, and then you must dial the full number. Unfortunately the 488 is not the best FXO out there to be configured with 3CX system, and from my understanding others have had a problem with it with other PBXs. But this is just personal opinion, I hope i don't offend any Handytone fans.

Yes. HT-488 is analog Telephone Adapter only. Not a full function VoIP FXO gateway. It can only support PSTN pass through. I'm also give up to use this device as gateway.

Hey people!!,

The grandstream team send me a possible solution

Yes, upgrade your unit to our latest version 1.0.3.85 from http://www.grandstream.com/BETATEST
You will find a configuration parameter called "One stage dialing", which should be configuted to YES.
AFter that incoming to FXO port call will be immediatelly forwarded according to number presented in RequestURI user part of incoming INVITE message.

I hope It works!!..

Thanks for your colaboration...

Regards..

Does anyone tray this?

Hi juanky

After updated latest version 1.0.3.85. It works fine.

"One stage dialing" it did.

Now it can be a normal FXO VoIP gateway. I will test the PSTN caller ID display later. Since my line no caller ID display.

Good news :)

I will do the same! :)

And...

I will post after some time of test!

"5qg4"
I waiting your post with result of test.

And another people who need this! Possible everyone who use HT-488 :D
To see does anyone have problem with new beta firmware?!?!

Thanks for help!!!

Working!!! :D

Thanks again!

Only FXS port can display the caller ID. FXO port seem no this function.
Anyway, it can handle the incoming and out going call via IPPBX. Wish the next version can support.

The HT-488 can use the FXO and the FXS at the same time. You MUST have two accounts for it. You can then dial in from a PSTN line and then get to a extension on the 3CX PBX. or dial out from a extension to a PSTN Line. You can call the FXS port from an extension. that way you can use a regular analog phone with the PBX. I have a paper I wrote on it I will gladly share with anyone that would like a copy.

Hello,
It's working to me, too.

But I've noted a problem...

The R key (Flash Hook ) stopped working in the FXS port since I upgraded to this firmware... ( I've tested several terminals)
has someone the same issue???

Thanks.

Hi cjammer,

I cannot use FXO and FXS at the same time.

FXO: 10001
FXS: 103
O Rule: 7
PSTN access: *00 (HT-488 Default)

Both FXO and FXS are registered to 3CX PBX

I can dial 7 + PSTN number at all extensions to issue out going call except extension 103(FXS)

I can on dial *00, then wait for HT-488 PSTN tone. After that key in the PSTN number to issue out going call from FXS port.

How did you config it for FXS and FXO work at the same time?

Thanks

Make two accounts.

One for the FXO and one for the FXS.

works fine.

trying to understand

you are saying that you succeeded to make an out going call from the ht488?
how?
what do i need to configure?
for some reason every time i'm trying to dial from this line, it rings at the fxs and not going to the gateway
help needed :(
thanks
yaron
