Good day Team,

Could you please support me with that topic question.

We have 3 Operators( Receptionists ) who need to receive calls and forward them further.

For Example :
  • Monday / Tuesday / Thursday / Friday – Operator 1 will get the calls;
  • Wednesday - Operator 2 - will get the calls;
  • Saturday - Operator 3 - will get the calls.
As you see Operators work separately and need to receive calls not in all days of week

Thank you for your support !

Hi,
one way to do this would be to use a dummy extension and in the forwarding rules set exceptions rules with forwarding to different extensions based on the weekday

Are these 3 extensions?

Put them in a queue and have them log in when it's their turn.

" and have them log in when it's their turn."

If its not hard for you , could you please Describe more detailed this part . Because i have some queue but without this logic ( i never do it before )

Thank you.

From the 3CX client they can go to Panel > Select the queue from the top right and then click the link to log them in.

Alternatively, they can just choose to log in/out of all queues in one swoop.

You could also schedule their working hours under their profile and this will automatically update their status and log them in/out of the queue.

This what @Alphabetic said or a CFD could do this automatically.

I cant guide you but its not that hard to do. you need two ring groups und the logic routes to this groups depending on the weekday.

Could you pls guide how to setup CFD for automatically set user accounts in right day .
Thank you.
if you don't want to use queues as Alphabetic suggested you can implement a CFD with a date/time condition, set one branch for specific weekdays and inside transfer to the extension/ring group, another branch for other weekdays and so on.

If you want to go the CFD route I'd use a dummy extension though. Set the default forwarding for not registered to whatever you want like an IVR for outside office hours, and set exceptions to forward calls for specific weekdays to forward to the respective extensions.

this way you have an object that is built into the system and you don't have to deal with extra layers of complexity due to manage a cfd (debugging, backing up the project, having another person who doesn't know the CFD app to make changes if necessary)
