Hey guys,

We have a customer which we would like to put on 3CX however, I can't seem to find a way to duplicate their existing system.

The customer operates as 4 different companies and with their current set up, each user(5 in total) has 4 lines on their Polycom desk phone. Depending on which company they want to call out as they press the required line key and it would call out from that number.

E.g. they would have the below line keys on their desk phone;

Line Key 1 - Company A 0123456789
Line Key 2 - Company B 0995846464
Line Key 3 - Company C 0460516513
Line Key 4 - Company D 6540643543

Say if they wanted to call out as company C they would press line key 3 and then dial the number they want to dial.

Is this possible with 3CX?

When I went onto an extension and then to the BLF tab I have noticed that there is an option for Line Key but I didn't get any other options.

You'd have to manually set up 4 EXT on a phone then program the buttons to each extension. Each EXT would be programmed from 3CX to use a certain line or caller ID to reflect the company.

At the moment 3CX Supports 1 SIP account on a device via their templates.

And do not attach the MAC to any extension or upon reboot you may lose the programming.

you can also set manually extra sip accounts in phone gui , almost only a factory reset can erase the settings. Of course you are not welcome to 3CX support with that, but it works.

If you want to keep your system in a 'supported condition' do it a different way.
Create 4 sip trunks on the server and have Outbound dial rules with different prefixes to select the desired 'company'.
