You can send and receive SMS and MMS messages from within 3CX and direct them to queues. This option is mainly for US & Canadian customers. In the US, DID numbers are enabled by default to send and receive SMS. This guide will help you with:
  • Choosing your SMS provider
  • Configuring SMS in 3CX
  • Routing SMS
  • Choosing who can send SMS
Read the guide.

In Update 6 you no longer need to enable a user for SMS. All users are enabled - as long as a DID routes to them on a SMS enabled trunk (either direct or via a queue/ringgroup) they can send and receive SMS.
I saw that after I posted this... But I have done everything else... So How do I receive SMS & Text Messages... I also have the app and nothing is going to the app... I have SMS enabled in the Sip Trunk.. I'm trying to send a test SMS from my cell and its not going through..

You'll need to provide more details, like provider, if outbound from 3CX works, how the DID is routing to you, etc.

After I posted this.. I beleive I somewhat figered it out... Now any DID that I have to my extension I can Text back and fourth from either the app on my cell, or the webclient.. But if the DID is to a Ring Group... I can send out, but of there is a reply, not coming... Or if a SMS is sent a DID that is in the ring group, its not being received either in my webclient, or the app, my extension is in the ring group... So what do I need to do...

Another member of the ring group has a conversation already going with that number. They need to mark the conversation as dealt with so that when a new text comes in it shows it to all ring group members (and then someone will take it to make it theirs and all replies will only go to them)

Nope... No one else is signed in to their webclient, or has the App... I am the only one, and I'm not getting any SMS sent to the DID that I am part of the ring group

Some providers all you to set different callback / webhooks per DID. For testing, change that DID to your extension and see if it works. If it doesn't contact your carrier.

It does when I change the DID to my extension but then all voice calls are going to go to my extension. Which I don’t want. That is our main number which goes to 2 different groups. An office hours group and an after hours group. Which I’m a part of both. And if someone send and initiates a text I don’t get it. I’m the only one in the webclient and the app. Further if I initiate a text and send from the DID in the ring group the receiver gets the text but if they reply I don’t get the reply

Test with a different "other side" number.

Meaning if you send a text from your cell phone, borrow someone else's phone and test if it's also broken.
Preferably a number you've never used to text 3CX before with.

I have done that already. If they send a text to the DID on the ring group. It’s not received. If I send a text choosing to send it from the DID on the ring group The otherside receives it. But if there is a reply nothing. Not receiving it

You're going to need to check logs at this point. I've replicated the setup in my demo environment (inbound DID to a ring group, my user is a member of that ring group) and can send and receive messages no issue.

I'm fairly convinced the issue is the number is in an active "conversation" with another destination, that until you mark it as dealt with, will be getting all the inbound messages.

Send a test message, then download the 3cxManagementConsole.log and search for lines like this:

That’s impossible that the number is in an active conversation with another destination. As I said previously. I am the only one in my organization that has the app or the webclient on the ring group. So how would be it active with another conversion. Further if I initiate the text on the ring group then why am I not getting any replies
