Greetings,

I have looked through the immense amount of documentation on the HT813 same with the SPA and lower versions as they are all very similar, I have just setup the FXO bit first and I can receive incoming calls and divert them around and will setup the FXS as an extension after figuring out FXO, so the FXO is setup as a generic PSTN Gateway, and its registered fine, I can fully 100% answer incoming calls, the issue is I have created an outbound rule to allow all calls to go via that gateway now when I try dial anything it just rings and rings and rings but it's not actually dialing out on the PSTN line? I am completely lost for ideas on what's causing this as it's all registered sucessfully would love some advice!

Thanks.

The best advice is to use something on this list:

https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/

If you choose to ignore that advice the next step would be to read the logs. Between 3CX and the HT813 it will tell you why calls aren't working. If you can't figure it out from there, see the first piece of advice.

I see a lot of people quoting that it's not supported but these devices have clearly worked for a very long time on 3CX and I am just looking for some advice from people that have personal experience with these devices.

@Leapy

I have had experience of the HT701 unsupported model but this is just a single port ATA, manual setup works fine. In my experience with the Patton units however combi units are never a good idea for integration with 3CX, for a start you have separate sections for both FXS/FXO.

If you do wish to proceed my best advise would be to run the logging on the Grandstream (I believe Grandstream requires you to send to a syslog server like Kiwi) and first check the call is reaching the line and whether the line is firstly active and second not running any services on it which might be a nuisance to the setup (BT featureline, Redcare for example).

Failing that call Grandstream support they are pretty helpful.

Hi,

Try this... its something to start with (worked for a HT503)
I do not know if it will work for you.

Basic Settings
- Unconditional Call Forward to VOIP: <(virt)ext or RG>@pbx ip:5060

FXS Port
- Configur as 3CX extension

FXO Port
- Configur as 3CX gateway
FXO Termination
  • Number of Rings: 2
  • PSTN Ring Thru FXS: No
  • PSTN Ring Thru Delay (sec): 1
Channel Dialing
  • Wait for Dial-Tone: No
  • Stage Method (1/2): 1

This worked amazingly! thank you so much, Do you have any idea on these devices how to change the ring speed? there is a large gap between each ring

Thanks.

you surely have a regional item menu in your HTxx where all tones are set, this is here you have to adjust accordingly to your country

Good to read it work for you.

Search in the FXS tab for something as
Ring Tones
(Syntax: c=on1/off1-on2/off2-on3/off3;)
and set the value for Ring Tone 1 to: c=1000/4000; (1 sec ring, 4 sec silence)
