Ok, this is really starting to get pretty ridiculous. I went through two weeks of major struggle to finally get version 18 upgraded to version 20, and I was finally able to get it up and running, and I was able to move around in the system making tweaks. Now that I am logged out, I cannot get back into the system. Now when I try to log back in using my email and password that I used and setup during the install I get an error message saying that my username or password is incorrect. I remember exactly the password I used to log in with and know for a fact that it is correct. Whenever I click on forget password I never get the email with a password reset link, and I know for absolute certain that my email is unique and not being used anywhere else. I even went back to the previous version on the previous VM that it was installed on and verified that my email is not being used on any other user/extension.

Does anyone know how I can get back into the system? I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE UPGRADE PROCESS AGAIN, especially now that everyone is now using the new version.

Try from a different IP address.

Is email on this server sent through the 3CX SMTP service? If so, and if an address bounces undeliverable for whatever reason, it doesn't attempt sending for I think 7 days.

If you have a backup file saved you can double check email addresses or if there's another extension with the system owner role in the .xml file inside the backup.

Once a 3CX server is upgraded the license is marked as v20 so v18 won't work anymore, anyway.

I tried from a different IP address, but still no luck. It uses Office365 SMTP service. Also, I'm still getting email from 3CX on the new version 20 because I am seeing email coming through about the status of the SBCs so I know the email is sending correctly.

I used ChatGPT to help me reset the password for my username [email protected]. It appeared that I was able to reset the password, but whenever I tried to login again, I still get the invalid username and password.

I went ahead and just reverted back to the old system. It still appears to work even though the 3CX portal has me at version 20. I noticed that whenever I restored the 3CX portal configuration onto the version 20 upgrade setup that I automatically get the extension of 1000 with my email address of [email protected]. Well, I also have a 1000 extension on the version 18 that is used as an additional extension assigned to the receptionist but is not currently being used because the receptionist uses 0000. I am wondering if whenever I do the restore from the version 18 backup onto the version 20 after I have already restored from the 3CX portal configuration if the 1000 extension from the old version is overwriting the 1000 extension that was automatically setup for in the new version 20, and maybe that explains why I could no longer log back in?

Anyway, I'm starting from scratch again, and this time I am triple and quadruple checking all the extensions to make sure there are no overlaps or redundancies.

I might edit that and remove your email...

Yes restoring a backup overwrites everything. Use your system owner extension you use on the v18 server.
