Internal ext it works fine
with the external ext status registered but i can not establish the call

Hi,

Open these ports on your firewall:

5060 (virtual server -> ip where 3cx is installed)
9000-9003 udp (virtual server -> ip where 3cx is installed)
9000-9003 udp (from lan to wan)

9000-9003 must be open in both side

If external extension is behind an firewall, please open these ports.

5060 (virtual server -> ip of Phone)
9000-9003 udp (virtual server -> ip of Phone)
9000-9003 udp (from lan to wan)

9000-9003 must be open in both side (2 calls at the same time)

Remember that if have more than one external extension you have to use different SIP port.

Make sure that your external extensions are using 5061 (and not 5060). Also make sure they are designated as external in the extension management

I made that mistake and was unable to transfer calls to my external extensions, but the external extensions registered properly and I was even able to make call from the external extensions out as well as to internal extensions.

Yes,

When you create an external extension please enable:

Extension is external
Bind to Media Server
Supports Re-Invite

5061? I don't think so. If you have more than one external extension you should assign different SIP, but you can use 5060

For external extensions under NAT, stun server also in need to config.

I see posts talking about opening up various ports on external extensions that are behind a firewall and am a little confused. I am behind a NAT firewall and have no ports forwarded and everything works. I was under the impression the STUN server handled things like getting around NAT firewall. Are there cases where STUN won't work causing the opening or forwarding of these ports on external extensions?

Thanks!

Are your using broadband router or firewall (Cisco PIX, Netscreen or etc)?
For external phone - hardware or software phone?

Normally, if the STUN not work or wrong setting will cause one way audio.

Hi,

for external phone you have to open them.

regards

I have done evryting you said i can ring from one site but i can not lisent either in both site

open de ports 10000-20000
The system needs those ports

look at subject: port forwarding here in the forum

10000-20000 are not necessary if you have a stun server. Remember to put a stun server on external device. Can you post the log of call?

William

Now the remote site can call me i can hear them they dont. Also I can not ring them stil calling

On my firewall I'm using Port Forwarding.

All UDP
3478, 5060, 9000-9011 (for 5 open calls)
all being forwarded to my 3CX server IP.

3478 is for communication with the STUN server - send and recieve

That might be your answer?

Do what landfiets said and you be ok.

Your rtp traffic is simplex atm

If you use external and bind to mediaserver you can get away with it, but not sure if that works in all cases.

In this case it looks like your rtp is not comming through.
