Hi there!
I’m trying to see if I can use the following VoIP gateway to connect my PSTN line to 3CX installed on my desktop computer running Windows:
D-LINK DVG-1120m VoIP Gateway
Service Provider: Centurylink

Not entirely sure if this will work. Thanks in advanced!

Anything SIP standards compliant can be used provided you have the knowledge to configure it. It's definitely not supported.

Got it, kinda saw that answer coming as I found no way of establishing a connection between 3CX and the gateway.

Thanks in advnced!

Since CenturyLink is a supported SIP Trunk provider why not convert your line to SIP and add it directly to 3CX?

Attempting to make use of FXO/FXS ports built into a router, is usually going to be a nightmare, and require much more time and effort than it's worth. Years ago I had a couple of similar D-Link ATAs (same era) that , while they sort of worked, had enough issues that caused them both to be donated to a charity.

If you insist on pursuing this device, do a search on using it with Asterisk, you might find some information that will assist in configuring it for 3CX, or, convince you to not bother trying

Got it! I ended up getting a Grandstream device. So far so good. :)

If the router is completely unlocked, you might consider using it as a router, with 2 FXS ports (3CX extensions), at a remote site, at some point. Getting the ATA ports to connect on the WAN side (the way it is meant to work), is usually a much easier exercise. However, if the device is too old, it may not have an Auth ID/password option.
