Ideal configuration for SOPHOS SG115 with a SBC ?

Hello, I just did a complete SOPHOS + 3CX installation with an SBC, everything works fine but I wonder if I should do something special to ensure the best quality of service ? Open specific ports, do some port forwarding or other ? Thanks for your help.

QoS would be best deployed on the switching level first on the local network for the connection from the phones to the SBC.

Especially required on larger deployments and/or if you are daisy chaining phones and Pc's.

Some firewalls do have QoS support however I doubt this is as strictly necessary since the SBC uses a single port 5090 which masks the traffic anyway.

The fact that the SBC only uses a single port or that is masks the traffic has zero impact on the necessity of QoS. It does mean that you can't use the default canned QoS settings many devices have for VoIP traffic. So if you wanted to do QoS you'd need to do it based on port or IP if your firewall supports it.

This is what I mean yes, we use Draytek's onsite when needed and they have auto VoIP QoS setting support for outbound traffic by default.
