Setup: Flowroute with SIP registration; 3 DID's. Each DID is set to ring a specific department / ring group.
I've struggled hard this week with getting this working properly, but thankfully all seems to be working....It did raise the question/concern about the default route.
We have a call center, and when someone calls our national line (which uses Zendesk), if they hit option 1 in the Zendesk IVR, it goes to our departments which are setup in 3CX and in various states. What was essentially happening was instead of 405xxxyyyy coming through it was +1405xxxyyyy (or something...I've read so many log files I don't remember anymore) so the expected route would fail and end up at the defaul route of 605xxxyyyy which is a different department in a different state; so this obviously confuses the caller and the department.
What is the best way to navigate this? I'm pretty sure I have the routes working properly now, but I'd like the individual DID's to do something else if they fail other than going to the wrong location. The trunk setup won't allow the default route to be blank; I guess I could possibly re-route it to our call center, but don't want the caller stuck in a loop. Ideas?
